With the OnePlus 6T on the way, very soon we’ll see the OnePlus 6 go out of stock from both Amazon India and OnePlus’ own website. While many were waiting on more information about the OnePlus 6T to surface before deciding which smartphone to get, many may have settled on getting the regular 6 variant thanks to the removal of the headphone jack in the 6T. If you were still on the fence, the OnePlus 6 is going on sale to celebrate the Amazon Great Indian Festival on Amazon India from October 10th to October 15th. They’re some pretty large price cuts as well. Each variant is cut by Rs. 5000, roughly $68.
|Variant||Price before||Price after||Price after in USD|
|OnePlus 6 6GB RAM 64GB storage||Rs. 34,999||Rs. 29,999||~$405|
|OnePlus 6 8GB RAM 128GB storage||Rs. 39,999||Rs. 34,999||~$472|
|OnePlus 6 8GB RAM 256GB storage||Rs. 43,999||Rs. 38,999||~$526|
The OnePlus 6 is a favourite of many since learning more about the company’s upcoming flagship. While it has a number of improvements such as the in-display fingerprint sensor and a much larger battery, many will be put off by the fact that it lacks a headphone jack as well. What’s more, it will be slightly thicker than its predecessor – again because of the in-display fingerprint sensor.
The OnePlus 6T will be available for purchase from November 2nd in India, and internationally from November 6th. The OnePlus 6T is expected to have the same system-on-chip, storage and RAM configurations as the regular OnePlus 6, so if you’d like to save some money and can order your device from Amazon India, then it could very well be a good idea. Just be aware that Amazon India sells the A6000 variant and not the A6003, meaning that is has reduced band support than its international counterpart. If that’s not an issue, then you can save quite a bit by purchasing it from Amazon India.
The sales start on October 10th, with Amazon Prime users getting access to them from 12 PM on October 9th.
